Once again Noemi Ayelsworth, owner of the Cabin Coffeehouse, in Downtown Bemidji, Minn. will be hosting the first cycling event of the new year "Brrrridji," (that is with 4 r's) on January 1, 2013, at 1 p.m.
If you are up for a cool, crisp and invigorating challenge to start off your new year, then this is the event for you. In addition to cycling in and around the first city on the Mississippi River, on New Year Day, join the community as they come together to celebrate the Cabin’s status as a Bronze Level Bike Friendly Business!
On October 22, the city of Bemidji received that same honor, as a bronze level Bike Friendly City, from the league of American Cyclists. “Bemidji is proud to be among the first Minnesota Mississippi River Trail communities to be awarded Bicycle Friendly status. We welcome the international recognition that comes with this award and look forward to the visitors it will help attract and the benefits it will bring to our community and its residents,” said Mayor Dave Larson.
Join Bemidji Area cyclists for another chilly adventure, hot beverages, and warm conversation. Watch the events page here at HaveFunBiking.com for more details. Check out their blog for last years report!
