HaveFunBiking Bluff Country/Root River Valley Multi-Day Ride - Space Still Available

Bluff_02.JPGWith summer finally heating up, you can enjoy the history and beautiful scenery of southeastern Minnesota on this multi-day ride, August 8-11. The ride will start and end in Peterson, Minn. with a daily mileage average of 68 miles or less (Shorter options are available except for day four where the mileage is approx. 55 miles.) Along this scenic ride, you will enjoy the small town charm of Lanesboro, the Amish communities surrounding Harmony, and the down home hospitality of Caledonia.

                                   Brief Itinerary:

Day 1 (Thursday) - From Peterson you will journey up to Whitewater State Park and on to St Charles before wending your way to Lanesboro.
Day 2 (Friday) - Riding up the valley floor on the Root River Trail to Fountain, the route makes a loop to Spring Valley, Historic Forestville, Preston, and on to Harmony.
Day 3 (Saturday) - After checking out the Amish culture, the ride heads east, passing through the Steam Engine Capitol of Mabel, Minn. and onto Caledonia, where we will explore an historic mill.
Day 4 (Sunday) - After enjoying the charm of this community the route winds back to the Root River Valley, stopping in Houston and Rushford before returning to Peterson.

The cost of this 4-day HaveFun Bluff Country /Root River Tour is $285, if signed by July 15th - space is limited. (Price includes camping, showers, breakfast, lunch, transporting luggage, and sag support each day, plus a dinner party in Caledonia on Saturday.  A list of hotel/lodging properties in the host cities, for those who prefer not to camp, are available on the registration form.)
