Assembling
hundreds of fun riding opportunities and gear, HaveFunBiking.com will be
working with industry representatives to produce the "Active Living Bike
Expo and the new statewide "Bike Event & Resource Guide."
Presented by the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN) the expo is scheduled
for "Ironman Weekend," Friday April 23 (3-9 pm) & Saturday April
24 (9am-6pm), at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
A part of the 3rd Annual Minnesota Bike Summit, the Bike Expo will showcase
some of the newest information for bicyclists. Throughout this two-day event find
tips on bike rides and destinations to explore, new equipment to ride, road and
trail safety guidelines, contests & prizes and more.
Designed for the whole family, those who attend will discover how easy it is to
commute to work or school, venture out safely on a mountain bike trail or BMX
track and what it takes to enter a road race or experience the Velodrome track.
Attendees will also find many new recreational riding areas, spinning
techniques and bike art. You will also find the new Minnesota "Bike Event & Resource
Guide" ready to pick up while attending this Expo. The Guidebook is a
handy, must-have pocket companion to the HaveFunBiking website. Throughout the
year, this guide will help the seasoned cyclist and those new to the sport with
helpful information, maps and tips to assist them when they are away from the
computer.
A prelude to the Minnesota Ironman Bike Ride, Sunday, April 25th, both
officially kick off the summer biking season while displaying many of the fun,
healthy cycling opportunities for 2010. And the best part! Admission to the
expo and a copy of the guidebook are FREE, with a non-perishable food shelf
item or a donation to the Bike Alliance, at the door.
